Shishya Public School celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024.It was a multifaceted celebration ,honouring the arduous struggle of the Indian soldiers ,that led to the free India , we all live in today. The celebration began with the school band embodying the spirit of patriotism followed by the flag hoisting and singing of the National Anthem. The speech by Mr. Sonu Kumar showcased the pride and happiness for the special day .
Further, skits on various themes and an assortment of songs was presented by the four houses, the Terra Cotta Warriors (Blue House), the Mesopotamians ( Red House), the Egyptians (Yellow House) and the Indus (Green House) , respectively. The skits, guided by talented troupes of actors,were a mesmerizing journey into the time of pre- independence till India became independent. The dance performances filled the stage with immense energy, transforming the stage into a realm of imagination and rhythm .
This was followed by the judges sharing their views on the spectacular performances .The program ended with a vote of thanks by the Principal of the school.The program was a true success, beautifully unfolding the story of Independence and leaving the audience enthralled.
