The chess team of Shishya Public School recently had the privilege of participating in the Inter-School Chess Tournament hosted by The Doon School, Dehradun. The tournament brought together 12 talented school teams, making it a highly competitive and enriching event.
Throughout the competition, our players displayed confidence, determination, and excellent sportsmanship. Every match challenged us to think strategically, remain focused, and make quick decisions under pressure. The experience of competing against skilled opponents helped us sharpen our chess techniques and broaden our understanding of the game.
Our consistent efforts and teamwork earned us the Third Position, and we were proudly awarded the Second Runner-Up Trophy. This achievement was a moment of great pride for our school and reflected the hard work and dedication of our players.
The tournament was not only about winning but also about learning, building friendships, and growing as individuals. It reinforced the values of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and resilience. We are grateful to The Doon School for organizing such a wonderful event and providing young chess enthusiasts with an excellent platform to showcase their talent.
